Janelle Cooper, DDS
Dr. Janelle Cooper was born and raised in the City of Detroit, attended Renaissance High School and received both her bachelors of arts (B.A.) and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After graduating from dental school, she completed a general practice residency program (GPR) in Chicago, at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. There she gained valuable experiences that made an impact on the way she would love to practice dentistry. “The experiences that I’ve had through dental school and residency, led me back to the city that I love.”
Dr. Cooper joined the MyCare Team in August 2016, and assumed the role as Dental Director in October 2017. As a health professional, her goal is to care for and educate numerous people on the importance of oral health. Among other things, she intends to be a lifelong student, constantly learning different techniques to contribute to the care of her patients. She is on a journey to become a positive example of a caring professional in her community, building numerous relationships along the way with both patients and colleagues. In her spare time, she loves to watch sports, spend time around family, read, workout, play basketball, eat wonderful food and travel the world.
